Servant to the Servants

+Ken Young, OSF

"Humbleness" is the feeling +Ken uses to describe how he feels to be associated with and to support such a dedicated group of community chaplains and clergy! The ministers within The Free Episcopal Church USA, Inc. (TIFPECUSA) and the Order of Servant Franciscans (OSF) serve throughout the United States, and even outside the country! Their hours of ministry and sacrifice, all on top of their secular employment, are a living testament to the power of the Holy Spirit residing in them!

+Ken's vision:

"His only desire for the clergy that he serves with, as well as all of the hundreds of individiuals and families that are served, is that they grow more deeply in love with Jesus...day by day! Anything less that that is simply not worthy of Christ Jesus!"

The Apostolic Seal of our Presiding Bishop

This beautiful Episcopal seal was gifted to +Ken by his Franciscan consecrator in Washington, D.C. It thoughtfully represents our +Ken's devotion to the Heart of Mary, the spiritual path of Saint Francis, the Unity of the entire catholic Church, and the succession of the Holy Apostles as transmitted to him.

+Ken serves as the Arizona Deputy Wing Chaplain, Civil Air Patrol

Chaplain Young (pictured below) was recently addressing some of the many family members and friends of a local USAF-Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol squadron. The support of family and friends are what makes the intensive work required of the CAP Cadets and Officers possible.

"Everything done here happens through the Spirit's life enacted in our lives."

+Ken, OSF, is a second generation Arizona native, who, together with his wonderful wife Casey, have worked in the behavioral and social services field for quite a number of years. They are fully credentialed in Social Work and Counseling. Years ago, +Ken served in the United States Army Chaplain Corps, Europe, as a Chaplain Assistant NCOIC. Recently, he was named "Chaplain of the Year" by the USAF-Auxiliary Civil Air Patrol (in 2006). Their son Anthony is a United States Marine and as such is the fourth generation of Young's to proudly serve their country in the U.S. Military. Their daughter Christine hopes to study the sciences in college. +Ken and Sister Casey also enjoy spending time hiking in nature with their two dogs, Aly & Benson.
