Parish...Mission...Ministry...where are you called to serve?

If you are called to join us and feel led to start a mission, parish, or chaplain ministry within the Church, please contact our Presiding Bishop.

Modern, relevent, contemporary and progressive ministries are needed throughout the USA!

Clergy in The Free Episcopal Church in the USA, the Methodist-Episcopal Missions, and the Order of Servant Franciscans, are "working" clergy (bi-vocational, as was St. Paul, for example) and are self-supporting in all ways. This is a very ancient model of spiritual leadership, by which the clergy-person earns a living in "secular" employment in her/his community. FECUSA has no paid positions, and provides no benefits such as insurance or retirement whatsoever. However, some benefits may be available to our acive clergy via programs through the ICCC. Each deacon, presbyter (priest), or bishop is a pioneer in creating a local ministry appropriate to her/his calling. Along with other Anglican, Episcopal and Methodist jurisdictions around the world, we typically use the Book of Common Prayer (1928 or 1979) or The English Missal, each according to the needs of the people served or ministry engaged in.  In point of fact, a prayer book is not "required" to be used, especially if its use detracts from a living relationship and spiritually vital connection with God.  No one version of the Sacred Sriptures is endoresed above any other...in other words...we are not a "KJV Only" group!
